What inspired you to become an artist?
Going out to clubs and festivals ignited my passion for the music industry immediately. Witnessing and listening to other djs inspired me to take the stage and energize the crowd.
How would you describe your music style or genre?
We both love our hard groove, trance and techno music. The fast-paced beats are energetic and this electronic music always get you moving. These tracks never fail to bring energy and motion to the scene
Can you share a bit about your musical journey and how it has evolved over the years?
We began securing dj sets at a popular club during the early hours, right before it started filling up. After a couple of weeks of climbing up the time slots, we elevated our game, performing in front of crowds throughout the night and at other events
What are some of your biggest musical influences?
Otta, Funk Tribu, Julian Muller, Beau Didier, Arman John, X Club, DJ Heartstring,
Tell us about your creative process when producing a new track or mix.
I begin by establishing a fundamental bass line. Then, I layer grooves on top to give the song momentum. Next, I introduce high-frequency elements to create tension and release, building a satisfying progression. I’ve been exploring unique and challenging sound samples to chop up and create a rhythm. My approach is avoiding excessive choppiness in the music.
Can you share any memorable experiences or stories from your live performances?
One of our standout moments in our dj careers was performing in the famous kitchen. Its a very surreal setup and intimate experience due to setup and the intensity of the room all the people who pack that room out are hardcore music ravers.
How do you feel the music scene has changed over the years, and what impact has it had on your work?
The music scene has changed a bit since when I first started getting into music. Social media has impacted the music industry, making it easier for artists to share their music with a broader audience. Over the years, my perspective on the music industry has shifted, and now, when I attend festivals and clubs, I look forward to the artists and the new music and energy they put into their performances.
Are there any specific venues or festivals that hold a special place in your heart? Why?
Pitch definitely holds a special place in both of our hearts as we continue to feel inspired and energised from the underground and commercial music scene that the festival offers.
Lastly, what message or feeling do you hope to convey to your listeners through your music?
the feeling we want to leave with listeners is a sense of happiness and enjoyment which is also why we love dabbling with so many different genres
